Whether you’re flying into the region or venturing on a road trip, Telluride offers a unique journey marked with unmatched scenery, heritage and charm.
The Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the most common airport for Telluride. This winter, guests can take advantage of 15 direct flights from 12 major U.S. cities to the Montrose Regional Airport, a scenic 65 miles away from Telluride. The approximately 1.5 hour drive to Telluride offers spectacular views of the snow capped Rocky Mountains. In addition to the 12 major hubs, Delta will fly Salt Lake City (SLC) to Montrose (MTJ) for two weeks over the holidays this winter (12/21/17-1/7/18). Several transportation companies provide service from Telluride to Montrose. Rental cars are also available at the Montrose Airport, but we recommend the ground transportation option as once you arrive in Telluride a car is unnecessary.
Guests may fly into the Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), located just 6 miles from town, by connecting through Denver on Great Lakes/United. The Telluride Airport is also open to general aviation, including charter and private planes. All major charter companies serve the airport, and links to several options are available here.
