Saturday, Feb. 28 - Oak, The New Fat Alley
250 W San Juan Ave, Telluride, CO 81435 (970) 728-3985
Owned by longtime local Robbie O’Dell; Oak, The New Fat Alley has been delighting locals, tourists and second homeowners for over twenty-five years with his BBQ, southern cuisine and genuine hospitality.
Did you know that Fat Alley got its name from the actual alley between Colorado and Pacific Avenues? Since its humble beginnings at 133 South Oak Street, the business has continually adapted to the needs of the Telluride Community.
Now, Oak lives at Camels Garden, located at the base of the Gondola.
Landing here over 10 years ago, the only thing that has changed is the addition of our beautiful outside patio and an expanded menu. The same friendly smiles and delicious food and beverages remain the same.
Robbie has 3 strong passions in his life: His Family, His Food, and Alabama Football!

Brown Dog Pizza
Home of Detroit Style, Classic American, and Gluten-Friendly Pizzas.
Sunday, Mar. 1 - Brown Dog Pizza
110 E Colorado Ave, Telluride, CO 81435 (970) 728-8046
The tale of the Brown Dog started back in June of 2001 with Pacific Street Pizza on the west end of town. From this location, we developed a reputation for great classic American-style pizza and our signature YX cheesesteak sub—which gets its name from the license plates Colorado once issued to residents of San Miguel county that started with the letters “YX”. Eventually, we outgrew the Pacific Street Pizza location and moved to Colorado Avenue, changing our name to Brown Dog Pizza.
The distinctive name “Brown Dog” comes from the owners, Dan Lynch and Jeffrey “Smoke” Smokevitch, and their chocolate Labrador retrievers, Phlounder and Boone. While Phlounder and Boone are no longer with us, their legacy lives on in the spirit of our pizzeria. Dan originally hails from New England and is a die-hard Boston sports team fan, as evidenced by the sports memorabilia that adorns the Brown Dog’s walls. Smoke comes from Michigan, where he attended the University of Michigan and played football on the 1997 National Championship-winning team. Their successful partnership of more than two decades has resulted in the Brown Dog Pizza you see today.
Smoke attended the former International School of Pizza, founded by legendary Pizzaiolo and Master Instructor Tony Gemignani. Hand-picked by Gemignani, Smoke became a part of the World Pizza Champions, a renowned pizza team with members from all over the world competing in culinary pizza baking and acrobatic pizza competitions. Smoke competed in various competitions domestically and worldwide, including Italy, Paris, and Las Vegas, placing high in many of them and even winning some.
Smoke has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, where he prepared the Brooklyn Bridge Pizza with Guy Fieri. Additionally, he has been reviewed by Dave Portnoy for his Detroit Style Pizza, scoring a high ranking on the One Bite Pizza app.
Our menu features award-winning Detroit Style Pizza, known for its rectangular crust that has a light, airy texture that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pizza sauce is on top, and the cheese around the edges caramelizes for a unique and delicious taste. In Italy, we call it the Frico crust!
The Wood Ear Whiskey Lounge & Noodle Bar
Texas smokehouse classics meet global cuisine at this whiskey centric cocktail bar in the historic Roma Building.
Monday, March 2 - The Wood Ear Whiskey Lounge & Noodle Bar
135 E Colorado Ave, Telluride, CO 81435 (970) 852-0469
Wood Ear's name is derived from an essential mushroom of Asian cuisine. The namesake of the restaurant is a nod to the faraway culture whose fusion with Texas fare aims to satisfy a diverse range of palates and occasions. Wood Ear general manager Matthew Arnold and chef Kevin Bush long wanted to open a ramen shop, but being from Texas, it was imperative they integrate the flavor of their native state.
Located in the basement of Telluride’s historic Roma building, the space centers around a stunning, hand-carved bar crafted from walnut and extinct white tiger pine that has resided in the space since the late-1880s.
The bar offers a variety of beers on draft and in bottles, as well as classic cocktails, and more than 150 spirits, including a vast selection of Japanese whiskeys. Grab a drink and post up on the patio facing Colorado Avenue for some sunshine and people watching, or cozy up on a couch and catch a live band.

Kazahana
An authentic Japanese restaurant serving up traditional sushi, nigiri and an Omakase experience.
Friday, March 6 - Kazahana
126 E Colorado Ave, Telluride, CO 81435 (970) 729-8933
The inspiration for the restaurant is to bring an elevated Japanese dining option to town in a beautiful and historic space with multiple expressions. Street level is lively and social, the dining room is beautiful and a bit more relaxed, the Omakase Bar will offer an unforgettable 17-course chef’s choice tasting menu with two seatings each night for up to 10 guests.
Local chef and restaurant owner Josh Klein is part of the team behind Kazahana.
“Kazahana is a Japanese term for the feeling of seeing a windblown snowflake in the sunlight, when the winter wind scatters snowflakes in the air, where they are sparkling in the sunshine, and you get a feeling of joy and connection,” Klein explained. “I think we’ve all had that kazahana moment here in Telluride, that moment of pure joy.”
